We invite you to celebrate the holiday season by joining our Holiday Season Giveaway! This giveaway is special because you have a chance to win an Annual White House Christmas ornament, in addition to an eco-bag filled with U.S. Embassy swag.
How to Enter
From December 23 to December 27, 2019 we will post holiday-related tasks on the Embassy’s Instagram (@usembkyiv) and Facebook (@usdos.ukraine) pages.
To participate, respond in the comments section under the relevant post and tag two (2) friends. One person can only submit one answer to each task, but to increase your chances of winning, you can participate in as many tasks as you like. The 5 tasks will be to:
- Describe the most original holiday decorations you have ever seen or created.
- Tell us about the most interesting present you have ever received or given during the holidays.
- Tell us about your favorite holiday tradition.
- Name your favorite American holiday song.
- Name your favorite American holiday movie.
Bonus Task!
Additionally, in the text of each of the 5 tasks we will incorporate a “hidden” word. The “hidden” word from each task will form a phrase. For your chance to win an Annual White House Christmas ornament, participants will have to input the correct phrase into a special sticker added to a Story that we will release on December 30.
To provide an eligible reply:
- Comply with the requirements of the assignment.
- Tag two or more of your friends in your replies.
On December 31, those who provided correct replies will be entered into a Live Raffle to determine the winners of the gift bags with U.S. Embassy-branded prizes.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 13-years-old on the date of entry in the giveaway. Participants must be residents of Ukraine and may not be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. Participation in this contest is deemed as acceptance of these Official Contest Rules. Contestants are reminded that by participating in the contest, they are bound by Instagram and Facebook’s Terms of Service and any agreements with Instagram and Facebook contained therein.
The giveaway starts on December 23. Comments may be submitted between December 23 and December 31.
Prizes
Winners will be announced on the Embassy’s Instagram and Facebook accounts @usembkyiv & @usdos.ukraine on December 31, 2019. The prize raffle will be conducted live on Instagram and Facebook on December 31 at 1:00 pm on Instagram and 1:30 pm on Facebook. Each winner will be randomly awarded gift bags with U.S. Embassy-branded prizes. Winners of the Bonus Task will also receive an Annual White House Christmas ornament.
The same person cannot win more than once during any one contest. In the event that the same individual is chosen twice by the Randomizer, another participant will be selected.
