U.S. Citizen Services FAQ

U.S. drivers licenses are not valid in Ukraine as their vehicle categories do not meet the standards enumerated in the1968 Convention on Road Traffic (as amended in 2011); travelers who do not have a foreign drivers license that meets these requirements must obtain either a Ukrainian drivers license or an International Driving Permit.

Because of increasing instances of child abduction in custody cases, and a growing number of children who are the victims of trafficking or pornography, an immigration officer, airline, or travel company may ask you to provide some form of letter of consent if your child is traveling internationally with only one parent or with another adult, such as a grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc. To request such consent, please schedule an appointment for “Notarial and other services”. The fee for notarial and other documentary services is U.S. $50 for each seal affixed.
