U.S. Citizen Services

In response to the recent sharp increase of COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has temporarily limited routine ACS services. We continue to provide emergency ACS services and limited routine services as resources and local conditions allow. Applicants should schedule appointments for services directly through the online appointment system or mail in their passport applications, if eligible. If there are no available appointments, please check the site regularly as we add new appointments on a rolling basis. If you need emergency assistance prior to the first available date online, please contact us at KyivACS@state.gov.

The U.S. Embassy’s American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit provides a variety of emergency and non-emergency services to U.S. citizens in Ukraine. We visit U.S. citizens in jail, assist families and friends following the death of a U.S. citizen loved one, offer help to U.S. children and families involved in abduction, custody, child support, and other cases, check on the welfare of U.S. citizens, provide notary services (by appointment), and help U.S. citizens who are the victims of crime. Detailed information on these services is available via the links on this page.

Please note that American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit does not handle any visa matters.  Visa related inquiries should be addressed to the appropriate visa unit in the Visas section.
