Message for U.S. Citizens: Consular visit to Kharkiv postponed until April 2, 2018
Event: A U.S. Consular officer will visit Kharkiv to provide routine consular services to U.S. citizens in Kharkiv and the surrounding areas on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Consular officer will be able to provide limited citizen services on-site. These include notary services and acceptance of passport and Consular Report of Birth Abroad applications. In addition to any required documents listed on our website, please make sure you have photocopies of all your originals and translations with you. If you need a passport for someone under the age of 16, please understand that in almost every circumstance both parents and the child must come in person to submit the application. Please note that all of the fees must be paid in exact change in U.S. dollars only.
Note! Effective April 2, 2018, the passport execution fee will increase from $25 to $35. The $10 execution fee increase applies to U.S. passport applicants using the DS-11 form including: first-time applicants over age 16, children under age 16, and applicants who reapply after reporting their previous passport lost or stolen.
Customers applying with the DS-11 form at a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad pay two separate fees: an application fee to the U.S. Department of State and the execution fee to the Passport Acceptance Facility (such as a post office in the United States or a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad). Accordingly, the total passport fee for such applicants will increase by $10 in total.
The $10 fee increase does not apply to adults eligible to renew their passport using the DS-82 form. The Department of State published a Final Rule confirming this fee change on January 31, 2018.
Location: Premier Palace hotel lobby, Kharkiv, Ukraine. Premier Palace hotel is located at 2 Nezalezhnosti Ave. in Kharkiv.
Actions to Take: All services will be provided by appointment only. To make an appointment, please email your full name, passport number, date of birth and type of service you are requesting to kyivacs@state.gov or call us at +38-044-521-5566 before 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018.
