The Defense Threat Reduction Office (DTRO) is the Department of Defense focal point for implementation of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) technical assistance programs and arms control treaty inspections in Ukraine.
DTRO directly coordinates cooperative threat reduction (CTR) assistance issues with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Security and Defense Council, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ministry of Health, Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service, the Academy of Agrarian Sciences, the National Police, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the State Emergency Service, and other government agencies.
The DTRO Chief and staff advise the Ambassador and Country Team on all threat reduction and arms control treaty implementation matters.

- Biological Threat Reduction Program (BTRP)
- Global Nuclear Security (GNS)
- CBRN Preparedness Program (CP2)
- International Counterproliferation Program (ICP)
