Embassy Property Online Auction: June 24 – July 5, 2020
The Embassy will have an online auction beginning on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. The online auction will end on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 9:00 p.m.
Items for sale will include used household appliances, furniture, and miscellaneous equipment.
All bids should be made in Ukrainian Hryvnyas. The Embassy reserves unconditionally the right to refuse any bid. All items are for sale on an “as-is, where-is” basis. No repairs or refurbishing of any kind will be done by the Embassy. The Embassy makes no warranties or guarantees, except that the U.S. Embassy owns this property. Each buyer is responsible for any tax or custom duties, which may be due at the time of payment. A list of all winning bidders will be provided to the tax authorities if requested by the tax authority office.
Bidders can review and bid on auction items by following the link: https://online-auction.state.gov. Bidders must register and log into the website in order to bid on auction items. The successful bidders should pay for their lots online or through a teller at any commercial bank, no later than Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Payments through collection boxes are not accepted. In order to collect their winning lots, bidders should submit the bank receipts to the responsible embassy warehouse staff. The items can be collected at 44 Mashinobudivna (GPS: 50.449362, 30.424799) on Saturday, July 11, 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. While collecting winning lots, face covering must be worn when social distancing is not feasible. All purchasers must provide their own transportation and laborers for the items purchased. The U.S. Embassy will not deliver any item(s) and will not move any purchased item(s) onto or into the purchaser’s transport.
Embassy employees not directly involved in the sale are welcome to bid on items in the sale. Per 14 FAM 417.2-3 Exchange/Sale Property: “With the exception of individuals directly involved in selecting items to be disposed of or immediately involved in the preparations for or conduct of the sale or anyone acting on their behalf, Foreign Service National employees, personal service contractors, employees of contractors, and their relatives, are authorized to participate”.
