Support of the Victims and Witnesses of War Crimes

The U.S. Embassy Kyiv invites Ukrainian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to submit project proposals aimed at ensuring effective and full participation of victims and witnesses of war crimes in criminal proceedings, protecting them from secondary and repeated victimization, improving awareness of their rights, expanding their access to justice and support services, as well as improving cooperation and communication between state bodies and non-governmental organizations working with such persons.

Projects must be implemented in cooperation with the Coordination Center for the Support of Victims and Witnesses of War Crimes and Other International Crimes of the Office of the Prosecutor General and the relevant coordinators in the Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions (more details about the departments: https://gp.gov.ua/ua/posts/andrii-kostin-svidki-vojennix-zlociniv-ta- poterpili-vid-viini-otrimayut-kompleksnu-ta-kvalifikovanu-dopomogu). Project proposals may also include education and training for coordinators of support for victims and witnesses of war crimes and other international crimes at the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The U.S. Embassy Kyiv, through the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), invites Ukrainian NGOs to submit project proposals by July 18.
