The U.S. Embassy is proud to sponsor “America Days” in Poltava. The two-day festival will highlight American music, education, and art, as well as U.S. Embassy programs here in Ukraine. Ms. Sheryl Bistransky, Attaché for Cultural and Educational Affairs, will visit Poltava and participate in a number of programs during the celebration. As the main cultural event of America Days, the Embassy is proud to sponsor a performance by Old Grey Goose International, a folk/country band from Maine. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. on November 6 at the “Lystopad” concert hall. Poltava museums will also feature exhibits of Native American arts and crafts from the Smithsonian Institution’s collections, and historical and contemporary American political cartoons. On November 5 at 2:30 p.m. the Poltava National Technical University will host a U.S. Education Fair, open to Poltava university students and anyone interested in American higher education. Several other programs for professionals and students will take place around town. Admission to all public events, including the Old Grey Goose International concert and the Education Fair, is free.
