Доброго дня всім! Я дуже рада бути тут сьогодні.

I want to thank the leadership of the National Police of Ukraine and the Patrol Police Department for their unwavering commitment to police reform in Ukraine.

You have much to be proud of.

The progress we have made together in standing up the Patrol Police has rightly been credited as one of Ukraine’s most successful reforms.

Together, we have selected, vetted, trained and equipped almost 12,000 Patrol Police officers who cover every oblast of Ukraine.

The Patrol Police reform has served as a model for the reform of the entire National Police force.

Increasingly, Patrol Police officers are assuming new duties such as protecting public order at mass events.

Patrol Police officers, recognized by Chief Kniazev for their dedication and professionalism are now being promoted into new units, including Counter Narcotics Department and other investigative positions.

Soon Patrol Police officers will be deployed to patrol major all of Ukraine’s highways and Patrol Police will have their own Tactical teams.

That is why, this new wave of recruitment is so critical to the success of the reform.

It is our hope that Patrol Police will become the sole Entry Point to join the National Police, incline with Chief Kniazev and Minister Avakov’s police reform vision.

I want to reassure you that we stand by our partners – the National Police and the Patrol Police – and we are committed to supporting you as intensify police reform efforts.

In closing, I would like to again thank our partners in this project for their commitment to reform, and I would like to underscore the importance of our continuing cooperation with the National Police of Ukraine and Patrol Police Department.
